Donate and EngageWillis Junior High is a Title 1, federally aided school with 65% of our students living in households with incomes that are currently at, or below the standardized poverty level (a school can qualify for Title 1 status at only 40%). Sadly, this means that the majority of our students would not even be able to eat a lunch every day without the help of additional federal funding. Even with these extended needs of our students and their families, Willis is a proud and prospering school! We host a variety of programs for the middle school aged students of Chandler. Our school continually strives to challenge and encourage all of our students regardless of socioeconomic status!
Over the course of the year the team needs parts, programming software, and funds to pay for event registration fees and travel. There are several ways you can get involved and support the team described below. For a more detailed description of our needs throughout the year, please read through the Willis Firebots Robotics Team Sponsor Proposal. If any of these options appeal to you or you have questions, please contact Jason Prichard. |
